E.l.f. favorites

I just received another order for E.l.f. (eyesfacelips.co.uk) and got inspired to do an E.l.f. favorites blog post.

I'm a fan of affordible makeup. I try so many things on a whim that it's only economical to buy cheap things. Sometimes they are hits and sometimes... well, we've all been there, right?

So, here's my top picks form a very affordible makeup line Eyes Lips Face.

1. Studio Eyebrow Kit
This is my favorite product (excluding brushes) from Elf. I use this every single day. When I'm in a hurry I just brush the eyebrow powder on my eyebrows with the little brush included. When I have the time to really shape my brows I use the tinted gel with an angled brush and top it with the powder. I also use the powder side as a matte contour shade in my crease.

2. Lipstick (essential line)
These creamy and moisturising lipstick are from the essential line and the colours pack a punch. Granted, they are not the most long lasting of all lipstics but I rather get a lipstick thats feels soft on the lips and re-apply when needed than have a long lasting colour thats feels dry on.
I have a lot of colours from this line.  The only one I do not like is the colour called Socialable : It has chunks of glitter in it and feels gritty on the lips. My favorite is the on the picture called Gypsy -a beautiful berry shade.

3. Studio High Definition Powder
Here is another product I use every day. This is a very light weight, very fine powder. I have it in the shade corrective yellow and I use it to set my undereye concealer and to give it some extra coverage. It holds my concealer in place all day but doesnt grease or settle into fine lines.
4. The zit zapper
I'm in love with this product! I order a backup every time I order from elf if its in stock. I break out easily and tend to pick. It sucks. But this really helps me. I just roll this calming product on a zit and stop worrying. Sometimes it dries the pimple out straigt away and sometimes it doesn't -but even then it takes down the redness and sooths the nasty feeling of a growing zit that makes me wana pick at it.

5. The zit zapping concealer
Here is concealer that dries out those monsterous pimples that we get from time to time. This concealer is very opaque and you really need to remind yourself not to put it all over because it will dry you out. And you definately need to set it with powder or it will spread all over. But I use it never the less because it feels so good and covers so well. Love it, use it every day.

6. Liquid Eyeliner
This product I do not wear daily since liquid eyeliner is too much work on a daily basis. But for special occasions or when my confidence really needs a boost, this is the eyeliner I go for. I have it in plum and black and both work like charm.

7. False lashes
Cheap, easy to apply and perform well -whats not to love. As the price implies, these are not the softest or most luxuryies lashes of them all, but then again I only use false lashes on special occasions (like evening parties or clubbing). Furthermore, I prefer my lashes on the affordible side, so I dont get bummed if I happen to loose them while partying... ;)

8. Studio Brushes
I love a lot the Elf Studio brushes. The one I use everyday is the Flawless Concealer Brush. I use it to set my undereye concealer with the Studio High Definion Powder. It is also great to blend out concealer. Other daily favorites are the Studio Kabuki Face Brush for powder and Studio Blush Brush for contouring.

When I have more time to spend I use the Studio Powder Brush for applying liquid foundation, the Studio Complexion Brush for all over bronser and the Studio Small Angled Brush for shaping my eyebrows.
